As a door to door sales professional you are or should be spending most of your time out on the streets in front of your customers or trying to prospect for new ones. Unless you have a mobile hot spot and a laptop sending emails can be hard and time consuming.
Are you having to go back to your office or house or home office each evening and spend hours sending follow up emails to clients? Isn’t this time you should be spending with your family?
Oh ok, I know, you can wake up earlier to send those emails. Right, just what you want to do.

In this post we are going to go in depth on how to automatically send emails to customers, prospects, heck anybody you have in SPOTIO that has an email address.
So imagine this for a minute if you will…
You knock on a door and the homeowner loves your product and wants to schedule a time to do a full presentation for this coming Thursday.
You pull out your phone and add the PIN in SPOTIO, mark it as a Lead, set the appointment time and BOOM! you now have done three things:
1) created a new PIN in SPOTIO marking the glorious occasion of getting a new Lead
2) Added the appointment to your calendar and
and Best of All
3) Automatically sent an email to your customer confirming the appointment date and time
with a nice blurb on how much you look forward to seeing them.
Sounds pretty AMAZING doesn’t it?
Well, its not that hard to do and HERE’S HOW.
You already know how to use SPOTIO so I’m going to focus on the email sending part.
Automatically Send an Email to Your Customer from SPOTIO
This is done with a wonderful little app called Zapier. SPOTIO integrates with Zapier so you can now essentially automate your whole life. Except for the laundry which unfortunately you are still going to have to do.
Step 1: Sign up for a free Zapier account at www.zapier.com
Step 2: Send us an email at email@example.com to request access to the SPOTIO Zap
Step 3: Make a Zap! Choose a trigger and action
Step 7: Configure the email that is going to be sent. You can use the Custom Questions in SPOTIO to auto populate some of the email fields such as customer name and appointment time. Remember, you are making a template so keep it generic unless you are going to use the information from SPOTIO to auto-populate. I am using examples here if I was sending email as a SPOTIO representative.
Step 8: Follow the remainder steps to turn on the Zap
Step 9: Make sure and test the email before you take it live so you know what it is going to look like to your customers
